Solo Drumming Competition

Judge: Mr Alistair Dowling.

 Stick and Pads Beginner.

• Competitor should not yet be playing on a drum or with a band.
• Competitor will be asked to start with two 3-pace rolls and 2 – 4 parts of their own choice.
• Competitor must bring their own drumsticks and pad as these will not be supplied on the day.
• Prizes 1^st trophy & £15, 2^nd £10 and 3^rd £5 places.
• No entry fee will be needed to enter.

 Junior Solos.

• Ages: 16 and under.
• Competitor will be asked to play 4-6 parts of their own choice in any time signature.
• Competitor will have to have their own drum and supply their own piper.
• Prizes 1^st trophy Quaich £20, 2^nd £15 and 3^rd £10 places.
• No entry fee will be needed to enter.

 Senior Solos.

• Ages: there will be no age restriction on entering this category just ability.
• Competitor will have to be able to play a MSR in March (2/4) timing set to be comprised of 2 x 2 parts or 1 x 4 parts of each type of tune.
• Competitor will have to have their own drum and supply their own piper.
• There will be a £10 entry fee with all fees going to the prize fund.
• Prizes: 1^st trophy Quaich & 50% ,2^nd 30% and 3^rd 20%

Entries for these competitions will be open on 08-07-23 at 11:30 at solo stand.
